Ascension Ag was founded in 2019 by Jeb Gent and William Underwood to solve biosecurity issues in the livestock industry. Agriculture is an industry fundamental to both partners through past experiences, passions, and livelihoods. As midwestern natives, they believe a safe and sustainable food system is essential to global livelihood and rural America’s success. Both the farmers and the people their products serve are extremely important to Jeb and William. They strive to create value for each person they interact with.

Jeb and William were friends long before starting Ascension Ag. Growing up in central Iowa their friendship grew through church, Boy Scouts, FFA, attending Iowa State University and many other life experiences together. With great entrepreneurship examples in their lives, they aspired to one day become business partners in value added agriculture. After years of separate industry experience, they came together to apply their expertise and create value in the agricultural industry. At Ascension Ag, agriculture is not a job, but a way of life.
